The Pelican Initiative was started by the ECDPM, UNICEF East Africa, the IDRC, Bellanet and Healthlink Worldwide. It currently has almost 200 members - researchers, practitioners, policy makers and evaluators - and focuses on the question 'How can we learn more from what we do?'
This questions is looked at from three different perspectives on learning: learning from formulating and implementing policies, organisational learning, and society-wide learning. These different perspectives are defined and discussed in an ECDPM Policy Management Brief .
